Sorry, I'm no good identifying garden variants. But some of our zuchinni did have to be eaten very young off the vine, before they turned into chunks of wood-like substance.
I admire your determination, Merry. Have you thought about turning the rest of it into soup? Boil the bejaybers out of that sucker... make a nice gazpacho.
