Description: Abstractica is a collection of all kind of challenging and mysterious riddles and puzzles.  The game has 250 interesting levels to explore! How far can you go? The game play is simple yet addictive: player must find the correct answer to the riddle and enter it to the answer box to be able to continue to next levels.  The riddles can be anything from mathematical equations and word association tasks to graphical glitches and epigrams.   They may be short or long, logical or illogical. They may take 1 second or 1 hour per level to be solved.  You must occasionally use also some external tools, like Internet search engine, calculator, picture editor and print screen to solve a riddle because only intelligence and reasoning capabilities aren't always enough.

I've got a bit stuck because the 'saved game' thing doesn't seem to work for me.  It says it's saving it after every five levels.. but when I come back to it and do 'load saved game' it puts me straight to level one again, but with no Tips and no Skips.  I wonder if this is a bug cos I'm using W98??

No saves is a real game killer  

I don't know if Win98 would be an issue.  I did search the games forum, and 1 other person said he had your problem. Unfortunately he didn't say if he fixed it or give a workaround.  

You might want to check you have the latest game, which is version 1.01 build 141006B.   This info is located at the bottom right of the start screen.

Also, I read that the zip file sometimes doesn't unpack properly.  Inside your abstractica2 folder should be the .exe file, an mmfs2.dll , a readme and a sub folder Data.
The data folder should contain abstractica2.ini and cncs230.dll

If you still have no joy, we could leave a message on the forum and find out from the game creator if he has a fix for it.
