Thanks both - I will keep on trying - it is so appealing - but I feel like I need some kind of Duffers Guide... my right-hand panel isn't even open yet!
I shall not be deterred however, and think I will have another rather thorough search around again The note you got somewhere tells you how to open the right hand panel.
But I think from what you say you are at too early a stage yet for the panels there is lots of stuff to find in the room before you get to code-solving stage Have you got the briefcase open yet? and the stuff from the 'loose floorboard'?When you've finished that one you might like to try the "Being One" escape game. There are 4 episodes so far.
I've completed episode 1, escape the Lab, which was very good.
