My lovely Helen is home from London for the weekend - hope you have a good birthday darling with nice gifts, a good feed (Paddy's beans!) and lots of errrr lovely Family Time
I hope they play your request on Classic FM - as usual Mr Merry got his played, but he was born lucky
listen out from 12-3

Happy birthday to the birthday girl and well done to Mr M for scaring the radio station into playing his request.
Happy Birthday, Helen!
Well, why shouldn't I give Birthday Girl a hug, Creature?
Honestly, the things he says to me sometimes....................
Happy Birthday, Helen!
Hope you are having a lovely time with the family!!
Happy Birthday, STPD!
Thanks all - I had a lovely day, and
that I only saw this today...! If I turn on my laptop, the compulsion to check work emails is too great and I figured I deserved one whole day off at least...so I decided not to lift its lid
Still, it was nice to get an extra day of birthday good cheer today instead. Especially since Mr Merry must've used up all of Classic FM's good cheer, as Merry's request fell on deaf ears in that department!
Anyway, to try and spread my own bit of cheer - this joke made us all laugh like drains here yesterday, though it could be that we are easily amused....
Where do pirates go shopping?
Arrrrgos!!
Happy Birthday.
Checking work emails except at work should be banned.
Good Luck for next year with Classic FM. Perhaps Merry can write in pretending to be Mr Merry and get her choice played.
It is so unfair. They always play the one for Mr Merry and they never play poor old STPD's.
She has gone back home to London now bearing tomatoes from the garden and leaving chocolate (for her horrible little sis) in return.
