1 egg
4oz flour
1/2 pint milk
for each person.
you also need sugar and jif lemons.
Thanks Furby. I usually miss it.
Funny how the first pancake of the batch never turns out right for me, just never has that lacy effect I strive for.
I can toss 'em just fine tho
/me resists comment!

Poor Pani, I hope he doesn't get battered by M again

So will M get her Pan-cake ?
Had to laugh at Merry's and K9's comments about tossers....
Now that Christmas and New Year is out the way, we need to start preparing for the next big feast Pancake Day.
My plan this year is not to go shopping for food again until the pancake day shop to buy Flour and Eggs. I am still buying milk as I need a nice cup of tea.
My new calendar tells Pancake Day is 21st Feb for 2012.
I also am living from freezer/store cupboard, very satisfying.
This week I ate:
- mince pies (bought far too many AND Mr Tesco in his generosity sent me two duplicate bags of items in his pre-Xmas delivery)
- sausagemeat balls with a variety of flavourings (cranberry, apricot etc) - lovely baked in the oven, served with peas
- Stilton (bought 2 half-moons of Long Clawson before Christmas, only an eighth-moon left to go now)
- Crisps - two whole crates of Seabrook Crinkles bought from Approved Foods before Xmas, still stored in the garage
- Party Foods that no-one else wanted - prawn toasts, small baked cheese things
- Chocolate
- Fudge
- Nuts - both shelled with dried fruit, and unshelled (walnuts and pecans)
- Christmas Pudding
This feels quite a luxurious way to live and not a chore of 'eating up leftovers' at all. Some might suspect I deliberately bought far too much of everything
I have had
Sausage meat and baked beans (No bread left for toast)
Turkey barmcake for midday lunch if remembered to take it out the freezer the night before, otherwise cheese and crackers. (No bread left for sandwiches)
Pan Haggerty type thing with leftover frozen vegetables (peppars tomatoes cucumbers), baked beans and packet mash.
Roast dinner made with sprouting potatoes which are fine if you cut the sproutingss out, leftover frozen vegetables (carrots parsnips brussels sprouts) and yorkshire pudding.
Home made pizza with scone base and tin tomato puree and left over frozen vegetables (peppars tomatoes cucumbers)
Icecream, jelly and tinned fruit.
Chocolate, Chilly chocolate, and box of Thorntons chocolates (Except the ones I don't like which are still left)
Christmas pudding.
Some very stale looking satsumas which were not too bad once I got the peel off them.
Bottle of wine.
