Brand name cereals are easy to forge. Just keep a stash of old branded boxes hidden somewhere  then transfer the inner packs of lookalike varieties.
For instance, Asda Wheat Bisks are identical to Weetabix down to the box dimensions and inner wrappers. The ingredients are the same and they taste the same, but they are 30% cheaper.
You must make sure that they don't get suspicious, however, and start marking the boxes to try to catch you out. :D

Tesco brand Weetabix is ok, but not the VALUE stuff, as it is like shavings off the factory belt, not proper little bricks (this is according to Mr M, I would be happy with the Value stuff myself as after all the first thing you do is bash it with your spoon to sink it into the milk.)

But there seems to be no subsititute in Lidl or Tesco for All-Bran - Bran Flakes are nothing like the same.  (I don't eat it myself but Mr M is a fan.)

My Nan used to make an All-Bran loaf where you soaked it all night in either Tea or Milk, I can't remember, before you mixed it with flour and sugar etc and baked it.  It was nicer than it sounds....

I'm totally impressed with lidl foods.  Just about everything I've tried has either been equal to, or better than the supermarket brands and cheaper.

Tesco value brands don't work for me.  I find them either watered down versions of their medium range products, or just plain nasty.

You took me on a trip down memory lane there Merry with the All-Bran loaf. My gran used to make that too, with tea.  She would always put sweet tea on her morning bowl of all-bran instead of milk.
