A most entertaining article
We used to have haggis on Burns Night because my F-I-L had a Scottish friend who would send one down from Scotland every year. (it would have been cheaper to send a live one, which could have walked here, but we were all too soft to fancy slaughtering it when it arrived.)
Well, being a pathologist who has performed many an autopsy, I'm not the least bit squeamish. However, this attribute is wasted, since I'm also a vegetarian. I do have a lovely recipe for vegetarian haggis, though I'm sure most Scotish folk would exclaim hoot toots at the very idea.
Fun article and particularly like your illustration.
Not sure I fancy the stomach with the windpipe hanging out though the Neeps and Tatties sound good.
I do like some things that may be classed as offal. Stuffed hearts I suppose are not a long cry from haggis though they look quite respectable and eatable on a plate. I quite like liver if it's cooked properly and then of course we eat kidney too.
