It is not pancake day yet and today is Thursday.

Unless this is a parallel world where it is, which wouldn't surprise me.

I don't want to see any cybermen though.

:rofl

It's worrying the way the board seems to have acquired AI.  Well obviously not much I, or it would have got the day right ;)

I showed the board a current calender and it has reluctantly put away the pancake recipes for another 12 days.

Since it had already made a stack of them it was forced to eat them anyway and of course I did my best to help :)

As for parallel worlds this is definitely the same one, Furby

all this has made Creature realise he did not have any pancakes when he was in Iceland.

that is a record, he always do have them.

*tugs forelock to the Squire O' Hard-facts*

OC must look pathetically at his mum, and I am sure she will make him some :hug

This year Pancake Day is early again so can you show the board the current calendar now so it will be ready.

I will put flour and eggs and jif lemons and sugar and cooking oil on my next shopping list.

Thanks Furby, I didn't know that.  Will get the board into training at once!

Just found this useful calendar of UK holiday dates which I will point the board to when he it wakes up.  :sleep

Our advert for pancake day is now there on the correct day.
Tuesday Feb 5th in 2008.

but it says Merry Christmas and links to the Christmas Tree.

A bishop has suggested giving up light bulbs for lent so perhaps it should link to saving the planet. Do we have such a helpful page?

I will wait until I am forced to give up light bulbs I think because if I use the low energy ones in the main room I may give them up sooner that I think as I will stop being able to see.

Thanks, Furby   :thumbs

It now goes somewhere appropriate :D

I want to know more about these energy-saving lightbulbs, I keep reading conflicting reports.  Some say 'woe is me our lives will forever more be in the dark' and others say they are just as good (which, naturally, I want to believe to save me from the stockpiling.)  For example, Jay has them everywhere at Oxford (an unusual nod to the 21th C in a place which has such quaint customs and a whole other language) and she says they are 'OK once they warm up'.

they are 'OK once they warm up'.

That Creature's experience too, he got one switched on right now while he do type on my behalf, £1.49 Philips from Waitrose.
