I have decided to start making a list of things that research suggests that are so obvious they didn't really need research to suggest them and could have asked me to suggest them for a lower fee than the researchers.

well knock me down with a feather.

:D

I notice in the excercise story that:
Just one in five adults, mainly young wealthy white men from the south-east, does the recommended 30 minutes of exercise three times a week.

I exercise mainly by walking, on average about 20 miles a week, sometimes a little less in winter and often more in summer, but always more than the piddly recommended 1-1/2 hours a week. I am not particularly wealthy, nor young, nor from the south-east.

David Tennant is the "best Doctor Who"

Do the poll on the right of the article and find out if the story is correct. ;)

9.
People prefer milky ways and snickers in the Celebrations chocoate boxes.

This is one where my research shows they are talking a load of tosh

When we have them at work there is never any Galaxy chocolate or truffles after the first choice and they are my favourite and at least 2 other people's. Obviously even more unless there are only 3 in the whole tin. I have never met anyone who likes Milky Way in my life.

In my youth I did the research on Quality Street tins and tipped them all out and counted them, there were always more caramels than any soft centres.

10. Translation services cost a fortune
