Has it got horns.
Yes... a tail...  but a short one.

No Horns.

I found some fascinating facts while googling and I offer them up as further clues:

Thingies  are very friendly and pleasant to be around....

..... making groaning noises or going "mwa" is often a sign of fear or anger. If a Thingie is agitated, it will lay its ears back....

An "orgle" is the mating sound of a Thingie, made by the sexually aroused male....

Do they have spines?
is it a couple of llamas?

Or, considering our Xmas conversation, camels?

It is indeed - a pair of Llamas!  :D

I said 'those sheep have awfully long necks...' before I got a better look.

All about Llamas.  Camel-like, they spit when annoyed.  And all sorts of other interesting facts about llamas.

I will try to get a picture of the llamas, whom I have named La and Ma.

Are you sure they're not alpacas?
They could be couldn't they , I have seen stories about how Alpaca Farming is a scam and not at all easy to make a profit.
What will their names be if they are alpacas

Al and Pacas?

What happened to Ostrich Farming. do you remember all those adverts about making a grand living from this as the meat was low in fat and would be the next fashion food , but you never see it in the shops now do you. (Or do you I don't get to many shops I suppose)

I hope they don't spit at Merry when she tries to take their pictures for us.
